i love wedding things, so...

I can't help posting this. Blog friend Morgan shared it and I am obsessed. Watching these videos from Iris and Light makes me want to get married all over again, and use them for my videography. If you are in Utah and are getting married soon, please use them and I can live vicariously through you. (Watching these also reeeeeally makes me wish I had a Canon 5D Mark II. Full-frame photographic joy! 1080p Video capabilities! Think of the possibilities! Sigh.)

Why can't married couples make fun videos like this? I think it should be a regular occurrence. You know, to document your journey through married life together. It makes sense... right? Ok it doesn't make sense. But I want a video like this! So so cute. Love it.

we love new york in the fall

Sunday afternoon wanderings in Central Park, near the Pond and in the Ramble. I want to go back there and get lost. Oh! And we saw three raccoons! I've never seen a raccoon in my life, and I saw THREE! In Central Park! It was awesome.

monday night at the shack

Monday night. Spontaneous FHE date night. Shake Shack.

I love the shack at night, because I love the lights hanging from the trees. I also love the fall leaves. And I loved that there was almost no line, but it wasn't too chilly out. Every time I eat that burger I love it more.

Mostly I love love love the man sitting across from me at our little table under the lights. He is so good to me. I could never make it out here without him by my side.

best subway performer. ever.

Is it the dance moves? The faux leather pants? The electric violin music? Or the high kicks?

We can't decide. We can only stand and watch in awe.

We googled "electric violin subway" after this, and it turns out we are not the only fans. This guy is all over the internet. Go check him out. His name is Michael Schulman. He is unreal.

rainy saturday and coat shopping

We are gearing up for a cold winter here in New York, so we went shopping near Union Square to try on a bunch of warm coats. It was raining like crazy but the fall leaves looked beautiful!

This is me clicking my heels in the rain (it seemed appropriate):

The farmer's market looked so festive with all the pumpkins.
I forget about how much I really love autumn until it's here.

This coat is very high in the running. It's WARM. What do you think?

Klane is thinking of climbing Mount Everest.

changing leaves

The high today was 72. Seventy-two degrees! Amazing! It may have been the last warm day we see until Spring. So of course I took advantage, and escaped to the park to eat lunch.

It was so pleasant that after work I decided to walk across the park to my subway line. I took a few iPhone shots of the changing leaves in the fading light. It was beautiful, one of those days that made me really happy with where I am.

Yes, they're a little blurry. But you can find beauty in blur sometimes. I've gotta get out there with the big camera, and soon!

sunrise in midtown

I saw the sunrise on my walk to work this morning.

It was almost a nice moment.

Then I realized I was outside, walking to work,
early enough in the morning that I was watching the sun rise.

Not okay, kids. Not okay.

I also almost quit today. But then I didn't. But I really almost did.

I just have to stick it out, give it a fair chance. I can do this, I can do this, I can do this!

I did enjoy working with the patients. Especially this guy who is really picky and usually gives the hygienists a really hard time and tells them everything they do wrong. But he loved me! He even told the doc what a great job I did. That felt good. I really do feel like I'm a good hygienist. Doing the actual work at this job is the best part.

See? I can see the positive side! I can have a good attitude! I can do this!!

angie's family visits: day 3

I forgot the camera this day. Yet somehow we ended up with way more pictures. I attribute this to the ease of taking iPhone photos. We had a lot of fun though. Please excuse the obscene amount of photos on this post. I'm really sorry. I just can't help myself.

Started the morning at a bagel shop, wandered through the park, ran though the Museum of Natural History, hit the Shake Shack, shopped in Midtown, grabbed some Crumbs, then came home to watch the BYU game via video chat (thanks, Hardings!) and ordered in buffalo wings from the place around the corner. The day was a success. Enjoy.

I should clarify, half these pics were taken by my dad with his camera. Lest you give the iPhone camera too much credit. :)

my parents are way better at dipping than us.

but we laughed so hard trying to take these pictures, which was fun.

On to the Museum:

This is the part where Brandon and I speed-walked through the museum trying to see as much as we could in as little time as possible. It was hilarious and very fun. I'd recommend this as the best way to see a museum. Some nice person outside gave us two free tickets, so we actually took turns going in and taking a quick peek. We didn't feel the need to wait in the admission line since we didn't want to spend a lot of time in the museum anyway. Brandon and I just decided to make the very most out of our quick museum peek.

Well, at least we were amused.

Afterward we walked around the corner to the Shake Shack. Posing for pictures along the way.

And jumping over things. And being just silly.

(they're so cute.)

The Shake Shack was busy but the food was delicious as always.

(he's so cute.)

The Concrete Jungle, The Upper West Slide, and a personalized concoction of our own.

Me and my mom on our jaunt through Anthro. It's fun to just look at all the beautiful things. Usually we think they're too expensive to actually buy.

We went to H&M where we found some amazing purple velour mens pants and awesome hats. Brandon found some serious clothes too.

And of course we had to get some Crumbs cupcakes
(the best, in our humble opinion):

I had so much fun with my parents and Brandon here, I only wish they could've stayed longer! It was so fun to have a vacation for the weekend. Back to real life tomorrow!
