It was such a perfect trip. I was able to see all the people I wanted to see and do everything on my list. It was really great. I loved every moment spent with family and attempted to get my fill of niece/nephew hugs (could I ever really get enough?).

This was the first trip to Utah since we moved that I haven't cried when I went home to New York. This time I was excited to go back! Coming home to Klane was really wonderful. He really missed me, and I think the effects of malnutrition and lack of sleep were really starting to set in. He needs a wife. ;) I missed him too. Things just aren't the same without him by my side. He met me at the airport with flowers. I loved the gorgeous view of the city skyline on our bus ride across the Triboro Bridge. It's good to be back!

The last hurrah

On my way out of town, mom and I went to Kneaders to pick up a classic turkey on focaccia (favorite!) for the road. Then we stopped by the Busy Biddy, the cutest little boutique on 1600 North in Orem. It's in this tiny little house and it's absolutely stuffed with cute things. Mom told me I couldn't leave until I picked something out. We had such fun looking through the shop and taking pictures. I love my mom.

Michelle's baby shower was a huge success! Everything was beautiful, the food was yummy and the company was great! So many people came to show their love for Michelle. She got the cutest presents - so many adorable baby girl clothes! Every few minutes the din of female voices was punctuated by a loud group "Awwwww!" whenever Michelle opened another cute item.

Thank you so much to everyone who came and everyone who helped us pull off this celebration for Michelle (you know who you are!). We couldn't have done it without lots of helping hands. Thanks to all who came to support Michelle. And thanks Michelle for having a baby! We are sooo excited! Especially after our pink overdose and cuteness overload. We can't wait to welcome this little girl into the world.

News from Utah

I've been in Utah for just one day and it's already been such fun! I receIved a warm welcome, complete with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from dad waiting in my room!



It started snowing as soon as we arrived at my parents house, and kept on for 24 hours. Now THIS is snow! I love it.






Michelle came up and together we started working on decorations for the baby shower. Have you ever heard of a diaper cake? I hadn't, and I was a little skeptical when my mom told me we were going to make one. But man it turned out awesome! I'm converted. Here's a sneak peek. This shower is going to be SO CUTE!!! I can't wait to take pictures of it.
