All that's left to do is get a couch (we're waiting to see if we can survive without one...), hang new drapes and repaint the walls. We might leave the brown, but we're entertaining the thought of a really light blue instead of the teal and yellow... any suggestions from all you decor experts out there?
Klane faithfully building the dresser. Don't worry, I helped too.
cute little table and nightstand + free lamp from a friend :)
love this bookshelf, it has spaces that fit all our stuff perfectly!
I want to get cute baskets or boxes to go in some of the squares.

i want a cute apartment in new york city! ;]
i actually love the colors in the apartment already.
lookin' good, angie!
:)
Lookin good!!
Angie! your blog is so fun to check, love seeing what you're up to in NY! Where did you get that amazing white bookshelf? (please say ikea) I've been looking for something like that.
I actually really like the teal and yellow already too! the teal looks good against the wood in the kitchen. sky blue would be pretty too though- you could really go either way but i just figure save yourself the pain of painting and keep it if it already looks good!
the bookshelf is from ikea, as is everything else. hooray for cheap furniture! :)
and we might've considered keeping the paint but the walls have a lot of big marks on them (won't scrub off, i tried) and have a ton of holes and places where the paint is taken off. above the kitchen window is a good example. we kind of just want a fresh start. plus i don't know if klane's diggin the teal. well, he hates it. (no offense to naomi.....)
I'm impressed. That's an interesting space to work with and it's looking great so far!
i love the furniture!! it all looks so great, especially the book case and that amazing red rug!
I especially like how the mouse cord is taking up one of the biggest cubbies. haha
Thanks for your sweet comment, Angie! I LOVE your apartment! It's so adorable. About the colors- I, like some others, think that the current ones are great, but if you're not loving them then they must be changed. I'm sure that sky blue would be very pretty. I'll let you know if I come up with any different ideas.
your place looks really nice! Props!
I say paint for a new start! I didn't know you could with a sublet. I keep seeing Calle shirts and stickers everywhere. One guy on a plane I was on this past weekend was decked out in it but he didn't know Klane...
oh my gosh it's so weird to see our apartment with your stuff in it! well, it's not our apartment anymore.
yeah, fresh paint! make it your own! and i know it needs some fresh coats anyway, it hasn't been touched up for 2 years. (plus, when we took things off the wall that had been bolted there for ages it know it ripped some off).
so go make it your own with new paint! (we're doing bright green in our new place... i know it'd look amazing with all the dark wood in #2a!)
anyway, how is everything going settling in? you liking the ward? the neighborhood? let me know if you need anything else!!
xo
